Vehicle safety is the main point of vehicle management in all nations, many countries have already advanced the 「 Vehicle Safety Type Approval Management Regulations 」 to audit and inspect the safety standards of the mass production vehicles before they become available in the market.

　　In order to promote the national vehicle safety management and get the connections with other national safety management regu- lations, since 1998, the Ministry of Transportation and Communication R.O.C. has continually promoted the Vehicle Safety Type Approval Management Regulations and 「 Vehicle Safety Testing Directions 」 is the testing and inspection regulations in Taiwan which is established referring to the 「 Vehicle Safety Type Approval Management Regulations 」. The testing and inspection scope covers all the vehicle lamps, tires, brake pads and etc. The product that approved by this regula- tion represents a high quality that can compete to other advanced nations.
