CMVR (Central Motor Vehicles rules) is the Rules and Regulations relating to approval of motor vehicles in India and are governed by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of INDIA).

　　ARAI is in charge of the vehicle safety regulations, including regulation formulation and provides the service of approval certification.
